SUNSET HILL

LOCATION: Kansas City, MO

SERVICE: Renovation + Furnishings

For the Sunset Hill project, the home's architectural identity became our guiding thread. Originally reminiscent of a 1940s farmhouse with classic New England influences, this home sits gracefully within a historic Kansas City neighborhood. Over time, however, previous renovations had shifted the house toward a more modern aesthetic, moving it further from the character and charm that made it special.

Our goal was to thoughtfully reconnect the home with its original spirit—restoring a sense of warmth, authenticity, and timelessness while honoring the layers of its history. Through careful consideration of materials, color, texture, and furnishings, we created interiors that feel both rooted and refreshed, blending traditional influences with a relaxed, livable sensibility. Sourcing pieces from around the world, we partnered with exceptional vendors and artisans to bring together a rich mix of textiles, patterns, and finishes that added depth and personality to each space. The client fully embraced the creative process, trusting the journey and allowing the design to unfold in a way that felt both unexpected and deeply personal.

Every detail was chosen to celebrate the home's architectural heritage while allowing it to evolve for the way the family lives today. The result is a home that feels collected, welcoming, and enduring—a true reflection of its past while embracing its future.
